You need to learn to get in touch with your heart, your soul, your intuition, you need to learn to listen to your body. We all know what it feels like in our bodies when things are off when things aren’t right, and we also know when things feel really good in our body and we’re on the right path. These are signals that we get from the Universe to help us. We need to learn to listen. When we don’t listen we get into trouble.
We have ALL had experiences that we ‘knew’ we shouldn’t do something, but we still do. There might be a little voice in our head telling us no, or an ache in our gut that suddenly came on, or we might be seeing Stop signs and red lights everywhere… But we ignore them.
This was my big AHA moment… I had to get hit upside the head in order for me to honor my Intuition…. to take my power back.
This happened over 5 years ago. I was on my spiritual journey for about 13 yrs…but I only lived it half-way…never fully… Until this happened.
…I needed a tooth pulled. I met with the dentist 2 weeks prior, I gave him my x-rays along with the paperwork explaining the tooth number. He looked at them, at my tooth and handed it all back to me. I paid nearly $1000 in advance because he was also creating dentures for it.
The day finally came. I was sitting in the dental office waiting for my turn, when everything inside me screamed get out, get out of the office! There was a lot of people in the office, a lot of commotion, even the receptionist got yelled at by a former patient about the care he had received. but I stayed, glued to my seat. Being a good little girl that I was taught to be, I stayed for the appointment that I made. I was brought up that when make an appointment, you keep it. I didn’t listen to the signs around me, I didn’t listen to my body, my gut, my intuition. I ignored everything…. All of the signs.
I finally met with the dentist. This was my first tooth to be extracted…so I didn’t know what to expect. It took about 10 min…I was holding onto the arms of the chair for dear life. I am sure that I left fingernail marks in it. My mouth was full of gauze and blood. I drove home with instructions to remove the gauze later.
To my horror, when I looked in the mirror…he pulled the wrong tooth!!! How could it be? I went thru all correct steps to get the proper tooth pulled. Why was my infected, bad bicuspid still in my mouth, and a healthy molar missing?
When I confronted him…he proceeded to blame me…saying that I pointed to the wrong tooth!
I gave my power away to a man who didn’t deserve it. He misused the trust I had put in him. Took advantage of me and then blamed me.
This was an extremely hard lesson to learn. I had given my power over to a man because he had a dentist shingle. I dishonored myself, I didn’t listen to anything my body was telling me, I didn’t pay attention to any of the signs and there were many!
I learned my lesson… Never again! I learned to Love Myself enough to not give away my Power!
No more! My power is mine…no one else’s! My life is about me now, taking care of myself, honoring myself, living my life on my terms, following my path, listening to what feels right to me. This is my life’s journey to teach other’s to do this as well.
We all have this in us, but we aren’t taught this. Our society teaches us to look outside of ourselves for the answers. To not question those in authority. To just follow the leader blindly and to not think for ourselves, to not use our 6th sense.
We all need to be responsible for ourselves first. I might lose people in my life for following my intuition, my heart’s desire, but I also know that I have gained a lot more people in my life I have a lot more love, a lot more joy, plus I’m living the life of honoring myself.
Once you raise your energy, you’ll attract other people with the same vibrational level as you. They will gravitate towards you. You will realize that others will actually seek you out. This happens when you live from your heart. Love yourself enough to listen. Quiet yourself and listen to your heart, your soul. You have all the answers inside of you if you just listen…you can’t go wrong….and if you do…just know it was a lesson you were meant to learn. Learn from it and move on! When you do this….your vibration will get even higher!
