This poem has inspired me so much over the years. Anytime I read it, I get choked up, release a tear or two. I played small for so many years. I didn’t even realize what I was doing until I had major health issues because of it! I am also sure that there are areas in my life that I am still playing small, but this poem by Marianne Williamson had a very powerful effect on my life. I would not be who I am today, I would not be doing all that I am doing for myself and others if it wasn’t for this poem….this I am absolute certain of. I realized we are all born to do great things, we are born to have an impact on others, we are born to be who we were meant to be. Not just some, but Everyone! Playing small, dimming our light, letting others shine over you is not what we are supposed to do.
God wants us to fully shine, to help others shine, to realize our full potential, to illuminate our lives and others. The more we can do this, the more we raise our vibration and end up attracting/manifesting our dreams. The more we do that, the more the people around us are do the same….it’s a snowball effect. Love yourself enough to start standing up for yourself, let your light shine just a little. Start taking baby steps to come into your own. I am a work in progress and I am sure I will be my entire life, but I am a hell of a long way from where I used to be. Start today, with Spring… Time for New Beginnings… let yourself glimmer…sparkle and shine!!!
